Last weekend I faced one of my least favorite tasks...making crafts! I know! How can I be a mom and hate crafts?! I don't know! I just do! I'm not artistic. My visions of a perfect, hand-made something usually wilt as the project progresses. Maybe it's my lack of patience. Whatever it is...my crafts rarely turn out lovely, so why make them?
However, Jackson had the assignment to make an ornament for show-and-tell. Like it or not, crafts were on the agenda!
And now, looking back, I can see why people think crafting is so great to do with kids! We made "dough," cut out ornaments, baked and painted them. And in the process we had fun! It was actually quite bonding! I still would much rather spend hours reading to my kids as opposed to crafts, but...I suppose branching out is good!
Yes, Jackson should have a shirt on. It is, after all, winter! But he doesn't. Oops! In his defense, he took it off to wash dishes for me. He doesn't like to get it wet!
Jenna's ornaments showed the most skill!

I'm proud of you for working outside of your comfort zone. :) When I do crafty things with Addison(or TNT), they don't always turn out perfect like I envision in my head either. The main thing is they do have FUN! Addison LOVES art time.
